Royal Rose Beauty Lip Blush service

Lip Blush

A semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances natural lip color, improves symmetry, and creates the illusion of fuller, defined lips.

Lip Blush delivers a sheer wash of customized pigment across the lips for a soft, natural tint that lasts 2 to 3 years. This treatment defines blurred lip borders, neutralizes cool or uneven tones, and restores youthful vibrance without the harshness of a traditional permanent lip liner. Once healed, the result is a subtle, smudge-proof watercolor tint that looks effortless with just a swipe of clear gloss or balm.

What to Expect

We start with a thorough consultation to select your ideal pigment shade and map your lip contour to balance symmetry. A secondary topical anesthetic is applied throughout the session to ensure comfort. You will experience mild redness and swelling immediately after, which typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours.

Preparation

  • Cold Sore Notice: If you have ever had a cold sore, fever blister, or herpes simplex flare-up, you must obtain an antiviral prescription (such as Valtrex/Acyclovir) from your doctor and start taking it 3 days prior to your appointment to prevent an outbreak.

  • Gently exfoliate lips daily and moisturize heavily with Aquaphor for 3–5 days leading up to your session; chapped or cracked lips cannot be tattooed.

  • Avoid caffeine, alcohol, ibuprofen, aspirin, and fish oil for 24–48 hours before your service.

  • Do not receive lip fillers within 4 weeks prior to or after your appointment.

Aftercare

  • Blot lips gently with a sterile water wipe or damp cotton pad every hour for the first 4 hours to clear lymph fluid.

  • Keep lips continuously hydrated with the provided healing balm or Aquaphor for 10–14 days.

  • Drink through a straw and avoid spicy, salty, citrus, and hot-temperature foods for the first 5 days.

  • Do not pick, rub, or pull at flaking skin as it heals; let it shed naturally.

  • Avoid heavy workouts, swimming, saunas, and direct sun exposure for 10 days.

FAQ

How long does Lip Blush last?

Results typically last 2 to 3 years, fading gradually over time depending on your metabolism, lifestyle, and sun exposure. Annual color refreshers keep the pigment vibrant.

Will Lip Blush make my lips bigger?

Lip blush does not physically add volume like dermal fillers, but tattooing slightly over the vermilion border restores lost natural shape and creates the visual illusion of fuller, plumper lips.

What does the healing process look like?

Days 1–3 will look brighter, bolder, and slightly swollen. Around days 4–6, light flaking begins. Once peeled, the color may appear very pale (the "frosty" phase) before blooming back to its true, soft tone around weeks 4–6.
